Stage Hand

Position Overview

Stage Hands are the backbone of efficient event execution. Working under department leads, they unload trucks, move and assemble equipment, run cable, prepare stage areas, support changeovers, maintain clean work zones, and strike safely. This role is ideal for dependable people who learn quickly and enjoy practical team-based work.

What you will do

• Load and unload trucks, cases, scenic, staging, and technical equipment.
• Assist audio, video, lighting, staging, and backline teams as assigned.
• Build stage areas, barricades, pipe and drape, and approved support systems.
• Maintain clear aisles, organized cable paths, and clean work areas.
• Complete changeovers and strike safely within the production schedule.

• Ability to lift and move production equipment using safe techniques.
• Comfort working evenings, weekends, long shifts, and changing conditions.
• Awareness of show-site safety and respect for restricted work areas.
• Positive teamwork and professional conduct around clients and performers.

Work Arrangement

This is an active, project-based opportunity with Sound Guyz Event Solutions, Inc., based in Hartford, CT. Assignments support events throughout Connecticut and regional markets. Scheduling, travel, and project details vary by assignment and may include evenings, weekends, load-in, show operation, and strike.
