Position Overview
The Production Manager converts an approved event scope into a complete technical and logistical plan. This role advances venues, coordinates departments and vendors, builds schedules and labor plans, tracks equipment and costs, manages changes, leads load-in through strike, and ensures the team has the information needed to deliver safely.
What you will do
- Advance venues, schedules, access, power, rigging, labor, equipment, and vendor requirements.
- Build production schedules, staffing plans, budgets, work orders, and technical documentation.
- Coordinate audio, video, lighting, staging, streaming, transport, and warehouse teams.
- Lead on-site execution, safety communication, change control, and client updates.
- Close projects with accurate returns, notes, reconciliation, and follow-up.

- Proven event-production management across multiple technical departments.
- Strong scheduling, budgeting, logistics, documentation, and vendor-management skills.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings, scopes, riders, and venue requirements.
- Calm leadership, clear client communication, and decisive problem-solving.
- Flexible availability, travel readiness, and a safety-first approach.
Work Arrangement
This is an active, project-based opportunity with Sound Guyz Event Solutions, Inc., based in Hartford, CT. Assignments support events throughout Connecticut and regional markets. Scheduling, travel, and project details vary by assignment and may include evenings, weekends, load-in, show operation, and strike.
