Position Overview
The V1 leads the technical design and operation of LED and event-video systems. This role advances sources and destinations, creates signal-flow plans, configures processors and switchers, calibrates displays, manages redundancy, coordinates with camera and playback teams, and delivers a stable, accurate image throughout rehearsals and live programs.
What you will do
- Advance, design, and document complete video signal paths and system redundancy.
- Configure LED processors, switchers, scalers, routers, converters, and playback systems.
- Lead display calibration, testing, rehearsal, and show operation.
- Direct V2 technicians and coordinate with lighting, audio, staging, and production teams.
- Troubleshoot signal, color, scaling, synchronization, and network issues.
What we are looking for
- Professional experience engineering LED walls and multi-source live-video systems.
- Strong knowledge of video formats, resolutions, EDID, color, signal conversion, and routing.
- Experience with common LED processors, presentation switchers, and playback workflows.
- Clear leadership and client-facing communication under show pressure.
- Ability to read technical drawings and work flexible event schedules.
Work Arrangement
This is an active, project-based opportunity with Sound Guyz Event Solutions, Inc., based in Hartford, CT. Assignments support events throughout Connecticut and regional markets. Scheduling, travel, and project details vary by assignment and may include evenings, weekends, load-in, show operation, and strike.
