Position Overview
The Event Photographer documents the people, energy, branding, and production quality of live events without disrupting the experience. This role prepares appropriate camera and lighting equipment, follows the shot brief, works efficiently in changing conditions, selects and edits images, and delivers organized files on schedule.
What you will do
- Review event goals, schedule, venue, access, and required shot list.
- Capture speakers, performers, guests, sponsors, branding, details, and candid moments.
- Work discreetly around audiences, technical teams, and restricted areas.
- Back up, select, color-correct, edit, label, and deliver images as assigned.
- Maintain releases, file organization, and equipment readiness.
What we are looking for
- Professional event-photography portfolio and reliable camera equipment.
- Strong exposure, composition, low-light, flash, color, and image-editing skills.
- Ability to anticipate key moments and work independently within a live schedule.
- Professional client interaction and respect for privacy or access restrictions.
- Reliable file backup and deadline management.
Work Arrangement
This is an active, project-based opportunity with Sound Guyz Event Solutions, Inc., based in Hartford, CT. Assignments support events throughout Connecticut and regional markets. Scheduling, travel, and project details vary by assignment and may include evenings, weekends, load-in, show operation, and strike.
