Position Overview
The Level 1 AV Installer supports permanent audio, video, control, and network installations under the direction of a lead technician. This entry-level role pulls and labels cable, mounts approved equipment, performs basic terminations and continuity checks, protects finished spaces, and maintains organized tools and materials.
What you will do
- Pull, route, secure, and label low-voltage cable according to project documents.
- Assist with mounting displays, speakers, racks, cameras, and approved hardware.
- Perform basic terminations and tests under supervision.
- Maintain clean job sites, organized tools, and accurate material counts.
- Follow company, site, ladder, lift, and electrical-safety requirements.
What we are looking for
- Basic hand-tool skills and interest in commercial AV systems.
- Ability to read labels, follow drawings, measure accurately, and document work.
- Comfort working on ladders or lifts when properly trained.
- Reliable transportation, punctuality, and professional job-site conduct.
- Ability to lift equipment and work safely in active construction environments.
Work Arrangement
This is an active, project-based opportunity with Sound Guyz Event Solutions, Inc., based in Hartford, CT. Assignments support events throughout Connecticut and regional markets. Scheduling, travel, and project details vary by assignment and may include evenings, weekends, load-in, show operation, and strike.
